I spoke with Drive Time’s Fergal Keane on RTÉ Radio 1 this afternoon about the almost 50 school-going children from the Headford Road, Bóthar an Choiste & Ballindooley areas who were left standing in the rain, stranded and late on their first day back yesterday August 26th. The affected students were to commute to Salerno, Taylor’s Hill, St. Mary’s, St. Enda’s, the Jes and the Bish. This outrageous incident highlights to me the disregard with which infrastructure ‘out West’ is held by the current Government and in particular by current Minister for Transport Shane Ross TD.
I will work to resolve this matter as soon as possible.
